ABOUT
Aim of this website is to develop a body of knowledge, SaMiDRip: Safety by Mitigation and Disaster Risk Preparedness, which provides knowledge about mitigation and reducing risk of damage by various disasters. The website aims at providing knowledge on disaster preparedness, evacuation and rehabilitation and also provide body of knowledge about various good practices of construction and life safety. The website also aims at creating an online database of technical information and training resources and developing a forum for researchers and students to share ideas and develop new thinking on the subject.
The website is intended to serve as an online repository of information which can be used by the general public, students and researchers as well as practicing engineers and architects.
The website has been developed by Department of Building Engineering and Management, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi alongwith knowledge support from Building Materials and Technology Promotion Council as well as independent research volunteers. People involved from the Department of Building Engineering and Management, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi are Prof (Dr.) V.K. Paul alongwith master's students Amit Moza and Varun Seth. Independent research volunteers supporting the website are Dr. Rohan Paul, Kavita Singh and Siddharth Eswaran.
