ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY
Environmental security pertains to the risks associated with buildings internally and the environment around. Risks are contextual to the value that is associated with the occupants and the processes taking place within the building. Disruption to the process can have significant consequences on the society an in no way of a lesser import than the life of a valued person.
The learning from criminology is an underlying philosophy in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Implementation of technological solution is of limited impact unless preceded by the CPTED Approach.
