Do’s and don’ts in case of accidents

 

Do’s
  • Slowly move out of your vehicle and evaluate your injuries.

  • Call for medical assistance on 108 in Patna and 100 in the rest of the state and wait for help.

  • If you witness an accident, call for help. If possible, provide assistance to the injured person.

  • On a bleeding wound put direct pressure using clean gauze or cloth, if available and tie it tightly, otherwise keep it pressed

  • If a person is not breathing, administer mouth to mouth breathing while keeping his nose pinched.

  • Do not move seriously injured persons unless they are in immediate danger of further injury.

  • Cover injured persons with blankets or additional clothing to keep them warm.

 

 

Don’ts
  • Don’t move with a jerk.

  • Don’t let anyone move you forcibly.

  • Don’t forcibly pull out foreign objects that may have entered your body.
